Lobsters and Rain.

Obviously I need to give my blog some more attention. I guess since its felt like March every friggin day since March here on the east coast, I lost track of the fact its going to be June in a week.
So much for Victoria Day. No fair weather in site.

This weekend I am taking Roan to his yearly Beaver Camp. The weather better improve or there will be a lot of chilly kids come Sunday.

Yesterday I finally ditched the analog world and got rid of my vhs-c camcorder which gave up the ghost. Figured it was time to get a new one last fall, but glad I waited as i got the new DVD Palmcorder from Panasonic. Sweet, but not sure yet of the picture quality...will update on that.

Also had a great lobster feed on the weekend in Hubbards. Nothing like a 4 1/2 pounder to fill the yearly lobster feed quota.

Don't use the software that comes with it. It sucks. Go with the rip s/w to get your mp2's and then create your own with something like encore (hey - it is targeting the home user).

If only I waited four months. Now instead of being limited to 1/2 video on a 5GB DVD RAM, I could have got a 500 GB Harddrive Camcorder..that would be what 5 hours of video?

I still just rip down the MP2's and use Adobe Encore to encode. Found I am limited in the old days by the ability to getting around to buying new tapes is replicated by about the same amount of time is required to rip out the MP2's from the camera to take more footage. (1/2 hour to the store vs. 1/2 to acquire from the device).

Wacky stuff.
